Jeff Soto.
I am a big fan of monsters. In particular Jeff Soto's work on them. The eyes he gives these little guys are (to me) so expressive I see human in them. They look so harmless but, upon closer inspection you can see that Soto is really trying to convey the life and strife of whatever characters -or whom ever- inspire life into these little creatures. It reminds me of something Paul Budnitz (creator of KIDROBOT) would love to turn into a collectible little toy. If you men don't know each other already, you should talk...

Mitch Dobrowner
Normally I make a strong argument as to why cloud photos suck. That being said, I enjoy Mitch Dobrowner's Storm Clouds. I just may stay and watch the storm from an unprotected hillside to marvel in them.

Following.
In 1998 Christopher Nolan (director of Memento, The Dark Night, and Inception) came out with his debut Following. He wrote and directed this film, a black and white, art nouveau, thriller about a writer (Bill) who has a taste for following men and women around London. The movie start when Bill is confronted by a man he followed named Cobb. Now with out giving to much away Cobb is the master here, Bill is his hungry apprentice, and together they take Bill's obsession with following to another level. Cobb is not to be underestimated in the film, I assure you, notice how he begins to mold Bill into a new kind of follower, one who no longer gets a rush from seeing people's daily routines alone, no no now bill needs more. He needs item's belong to the followed, he needs to enter their homes, and he needs to keep changing himself and his image to keep following. I don't want to write to much on the film as it is a thriller and it is devilishly smart. Just watch it. The movie runs about an hour and ten minutes and though it may seem slow paced in the beginning I ask you to stick with it, the ending of Following will leave your jaw on the floor. Nolan with his first film nailed it, Brava Sir. The movie is streaming on Netflix. Check out the trailer.

HONEY!
So here is a tip. Pretty much every cleanser out there for your face is bad for it. Shocking, I agree. Thanks to The Love Vitamin (http://www.thelovevitamin.com/) I found that Honey is a great cleanser for your skin and body inside and out. It helps heal the skin, scars, and helps keep the pH consistent on your skin. (pH is a big deal in skin care, look it up). If you've tried everything at one point or another to clear your skin and keep it that way -as i have- I respectfully suggest Honey. Manuka Honey is the best for a cleanser. It's from New Zealand and holds antibacterial properties (http://manukahoney.com/) and boy oh boy does it heal! Other honey works too, as Manuka can be expensive, just be sure to buy something that looks creamy and that has been pasteurized. Honey removes your makeup as well, and is still gentle enough to mix with your morning coffee, or tea. So here's to a clean and clear face kissed by honey bees!

Trident Cafe, Boulder Colorado
Boulder Colorado. If your wondering what kind of place it is, I would just recommend going there. Its a hot bed for movers and shakers, and most of all Culture Monsters! I do believe I found THE place for Arties (people who love everything art, are involved with art themselves, or just love the scene) and normal folk alike who enjoy a delicious cup of Joe. Located on the Pearl Street Mall; a large walking mall housing some of the best culture Boulder has to offer (art galleries, endless shopping, The Boulder Theater, and some of the best restaurants in the mid-west. No joke, the restaurant's have won many national awards for their stunning menu's, but i digress.) Lets just say there is a lot to see on Pearl, but make sure you see the gem that is TRIDENT COFFEE. The feel of this coffee shop encapsulates Boulder culture. We like the finer things in life, we like organic coffee and health conscious snacks, we like them in nice somewhat quiet spaces, and we like kick ass gently used book stores attached that only house some of the most inspiring literary works. So we can read, sip our coffee and sit by the fire while it is cold out side. More or less Boulder people like to just be. Just be enjoying a coffee and a book, a hike in the beautiful backyard of Boulder that is the Flatirons, just be sitting by the creek with friends, or just being the best possible self we can be. I say we because I myself am from Boulder Colorado and when I think of winter and getting work done in an inspiring cultural environment, or a place that I want to have a conversation over coffee I think Trident on Pearl. Like the clouds painted on the outside awning it will take you away, not to be missed.
